No Signal

I am having trouble getting someone to understand my problem. 
I have no mobile signal and can only make calls through the WiFi. I was told I needed a new SIM. I have received this but it hasn’t changed anything. 
The last adviser said I can see you have made calls and data so there’s no problem. 
Yes there is, I can only make calls using WiFi and I don’t have a problem with Data. 
How can this be fixed.

Interesting that your top bar is not even showing the symbol for no network 

Have you been into your connection settings ... networks and done a manual scan?

Thanks for your reply, normally there was a bar chart and it goes up in strength but it’s just 4 dots. 
sorry I’m a bit not good will tech, were would  I find this in settings.

Usually in Settings / Connections / Mobile Networks / Network Operators. Let it search then manually select Virgin

I’m so sorry to keep bothering you. I’ve set it to Virgin and still nothing. 
I can’t even call them. 
Feeling very frustrated

I only know one more thing after that I'm stuck 

 

Select Apps from Home screen
Select Virgin SIM Toolkit Icon
Select Roaming
Select Select Mode
Select National and go back to Home Screen

Check the APN settings that they match these and not saying something like  Bell or Proximus
