No Service

I have just returned after 10 days in Majorca. I had roaming turned on but over the 10 days I had no service. On my return to the UK today I still have no service. I have tried restarting my iPhone several times but still No Service.

Please help!

Please can you do the following on the handset;

Settings > Phone > SIM Applications > Roaming > Mode > Automatic >

Then reboot, see if it fixes things?

Hi Mitch42, thanks for the message and sorry to hear that you are having  issues with the service.

Can you confirm if you are getting the same issue when turning off the roaming within the handset.

Do you get this issue when trying the sim in an alternative handset? What error are you getting when connecting?

Chris

Hi Chris_W1,

Yes roaming is off.

I can’t try the SIM in another handset as I only have the one phone.
I don’t get any error messages, just shows “No Service” at the top left of the screen.

Thanks for coming back to us. Can you put the phone in airplane mode and then back off again?

What phone are you also using please?

Kind regards,

Please can you do the following on the handset;

John - you are a genius.
That worked; I now have a working phone. Many thanks. I just hope roaming now works when I next go abroad.

Many thanks,

Tony

Great to hear it worked Tony 🙂

When you're next away, try this;

Settings > Phone > SIM Applications > Roaming > Mode > Manual > International. If you’re using a newer iOS, then you it will be under Mobile Data instead of phone. Once this has been done you might need to reboot.

Is there anything further I can assist with today?

No; I just needed a working phone. But I shall take a note of your recommendations for my next overseas travel.

Again, I am really appreciative of your help.

Many thanks John.

Cheers, don't forget bring me back a fridge magnet haha 🙂
