Re: No Service on mobile in Spain

Apologies for the issues faced SteveC6,

Welcome to the community.

How many devices are affected?

Also do you have a spend cap on the affected numbers?

Thanks,

Kain

Re: No Service on mobile in Spain

Only my device ending 902. Unable to get any network on it. Tried several fixes as suggested on here. No joy.

Ive a cap of £5. Same as my wife both on monthly contracts. Her Samsung is ok.

Re: No Service on mobile in Spain

IPhones may have to have the roaming settings set to International in the SIM Toolkit application.

Re: No Service on mobile in Spain

Hi Steve, sorry to hear of your difficulties using your iphone in spain.

If you had network access on your phone I would also advise you can have your APN settings sent to your device, just text “ALL” to 789922.

Here is our help page for Iphone 6 which includes a section about the APN settings if you search in the bar at the top.

It advises you go to SETTINGS > MOBILE DATA > MOBILE DATA NETWORK and then:

1) If you've had a new SIM since December 2017:
Internet APN Settings:
APN: goto.virginmobile.uk
Username: None
Password: None

MMS APN Settings:
APN: goto.virginmobile.uk
Username: None
Password: None
MMSC: http://mms.virginmobile.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy: 193.030.166.002
MMS Max Message Size: 1048576

2) If you've not had a new SIM since December 2017
Internet APN Settings:
APN: goto.virginmobile.uk
Username: User
Password: None

MMS APN Settings:

APN: goto.virginmobile.uk
Username: None
Password: None
MMSC: http://mms.virginmobile.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy: 193.030.166.002
MMS Max Message Size: 1048576

I hope this helps! Let us know how you get on.

All the best!

Molly

Re: No Service on mobile in Spain

All sorted now.

After much searching, after 5 days I found that my Virgin mobile services setting wasn’t switched to Roaming although my phone was.

Thanks for help along way. This might be the answer for lots of people. Stay safe
