I have an old (Nokia) phone that does not work with the new Sim I was sent. Just get the message "Sim not valid". There appears to be no way to unlock it. I have now received a letter telling me that the phone/old sim will stop working in a few days.
The phone was the one that I originally bought in a Virgin PAYG package, 2010. I have learned that there are problems with the old phones but the letter sent with the sim makes no allusion to possible problems. Just "changing the sim is easy".
I have followed all the instructions, nothing seems to work.
I have now had three automated messages congratulating me on joining the forum and giving me badges. I have not had a response to my question. I would add another question: is it possible to keep the old sim functional until the problem is sorted out. Please?
