Im back......... well I had my new sim about 5 days ago, set it up, got connected to VM service and still crap signal (mast is 2 miles away and line of sight)... the system is over subscribed on a poor network, always the same excuse, a mast problem in my area, I pay VM for a service and when ask to rectify they say it O2 problem, well I thought VM own O2 therefore its a VM problem,
If you look at the times the speed test were taken you will see that early morning I get a very good signal, then come morning it all go down hill (all day) BAD.. and dont ask to try change phones, check setting, its all be done, The system is over subscribed on a poor network...
What do i have to do to get a system fit for use.. I have been with VM from the day It started and have never experience such bad service, We had some ups and downs but they have sorted it all out withing a few days, This will by the look of things take months if evert to fix.
Can I ask.... if we are using the O2 mast, why have our APN not change from VM to O2 like what happen when VM piggyback of Vodafone, we have Vodafone APN settings.....

Check your area on https://status.o2.co.uk/
For my postcode there is a status message about network congestion, which I used as evidence to VM customer services that the product does not suit my needs and have now happily left to rejoin Vodafone.

First of all VM don't own O2 it is a joint venture between them and Telefónica.
At this juncture O2 is running separately to Virgin Mobile. The signal might be the same but for the moment that is as far as it goes. O2 will not handle complaints from Virgin Mobile as they have no access to your details and Virgin should not suggest you contact them.
This may change in the future but for now that is the situation.
Speed results seem to suggest congestion in your area and curing that is a long term problem.
If you are not happy then moving networks will be the only answer. Yes, Virgin will hate me for saying that and they will do all sort of checks to keep you.
I' have an O2 SIM as back up, thankfully I don't pay for it, and I've watched the network deteriorate over the past 5 years
