New sim not working

Hi all, 

I've just joined Virgin and inserted the new sim approximately 2hrs ago. However when checking in the settings and 'About Phone' to see which phone number is being used here is just says 'Unknown', I used a PAC when I first requested the sim and so I'm unsure why my old number hasn't just been passed over. 

Naturally this means I can't make calls - have 4 network bars but also have the 'Emergency Calls Only' notice. And when I attempt to make a call I get a pop up message that says 'Not on Network' 

After not having any service on my previous provider for 5 weeks, i'm just about ready to launch the handset out of the window ;')

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community. 

Really sorry you're having issues with your new SIM, this ins't good. 

A SIM can take up to 24 hours to activate but I can appreciate your frustration. 

Is the SIM up and running now?
