New sim not arrived

I ordered a new sim card online nine days ago. I entered my phone number and PAC code. I received an email with an online order reference number. The email also said for me to keep an eye on my inbox for my account number and a date when i will receive my sim. 

I contacted the call centre today to enquire when it might arrive. I was told to go online to my virgin media and check. I explained that i cannot register because i dont have an account number or virgin mobile number. I explained that I have never had a virgin account and cannot register.  I was told that i would have to wait until the sim arrived. The call centre could not confirm whether they even had the order and were processing it.

Has anybody else experienced this issue and any suggestions would be appreciated.
