Virgin have said they've sent me a new sim, but I am yet to receive this. This is not a sim I've requested.

Sorry that you've not yet had your SIM, I know you'll be keen to get it up and running.
So I can send another one I'm going to pop you a personal message to grab some details, once this has been done the new SIM will arrive within 3-5 days and will need activating 🙂
