On the insistence of my brother I have been using my late mother's PAYG Nokia C1 for emergency purposes. It rarely gets used and I think I have topped up twice in the last four years.
I checked it recently to discover the switch to a new sim card, however the card would almost certainly have been sent to my mother's house, which was sold in 2015. I would like to keep the phone number so I am wondering if there is a mechanism to get a sim to me, or will I have to start afresh with a new phone number?
When was the last time a call / text was made as if a PAYG Sim has not been used for a chargeable call or text in the last 90 days then I am afraid that the number / sim will be deactivated, as well as the VM no long supply PAYG Sims, there will be no way of getting the number back if the phone has not been used in 90 days.
