New sim cards not working in Locked to Virgin Mobile phones.

Hi,

I have 2 Virgin Mobile sim cards and 2 Virgin Mobile branded phones.  I was sent upgraded sim cards at the end of last year but they don't work in my locked to virgin mobile phones.  They come up with the message "insert correct sim card".

Do I need to unlock them and how do I go about it.

Thanks.

Hello keystone

Thank you for all those details

I have had a look at every conceivable way to unlock the 2 handsets

Sadly this is not something we can actually do for you

The 2 mobile numbers are associated with 2 other handsets

The IMEI Numbers you gave do not bring anything up

Where did you get then from?

The problem is we are looking at 13 year old phones here. Many of the manufacturers will have changed hands. (In the case of Nokia twice) Databases of codes may simply not be available.

Phone unlocking shops may have a way to do this as they use special unofficial unlocking software.

Hello again Keystone

It might be best to purchase an unlocked handset to use the other Sim in

What @enlli has also advised explains the situation very well
