New purple sim card - 2G mobile phones

Hi

Should be getting the new purple Virgin SIM card soon.

My current phone that I use with Virgin is a samsung c3050. I think it is a 2G phone. Will the new sim card work fine with it?

Thanks

2G is fine , so that does not come into the equation.

Whether the phone is Network Locked or not is the critical thing.

If it is and the phone was bought from Virgin they can supply an unlock code.

If bought elsewhere it could prove problematic

I dont think it is locked.

But if there is a problem, I can just pop the old sim card in and will it still work while I get the new one sorted?

Depends when they switch your old SIM off  Each one is on a timescale now.

As to locked. If it was bought PAYG then it is more than likely

Re: New purple sim card - 2G mobile phones

One more question:

Can I turn off my old phone containing the old sim card. And put the new purple sim card into a new phone and switch it on.

Would that work?

Thanks
