New mobile keeps cutting out on phone calls

At the beginning of June my wife (who has a contract with Virgin) upgraded her mobile phone to a Samsung A40 (bought from Virgin) since when most phone calls have just cut out; sometimes after a few seconds, sometimes after a few minutes. As the phone is used for business this is more than inconvenient.

My wife had no such problems with her previous phone and I don't have problems with mine (also on a Virgin contract). We suspect that the phone's aerial may be faulty as the signal strength indicator is never more then 50% even when my phone is showing 100%.

I assume you have swapped SIM cards to check if it is the phone.

As it is a Samsung your best route would be for them to look at it. (Too many horror stories with Virgin's own repair service)

They will come out to you.
