Hello

From what you have describe I believe that the VM supplied stick is locked to the EE network as the older sims are just rebranded EE where the new ones are VM own just uses the EE network.

What you require is the network unlock code and it can be request https://www.virginmedia.com/help/unlock-code-request1

At last getting somewhere, it works in the mobile wifi hub, But not on the mobile USB stick, The profile on the stick is NAME = virgin - APN = goto.virginmobile.uk - AUTHENTICATION ACCESS NUMBER = *99#,
I still need the stick to work!

Thanks for the information, is this a mobile broadband SIM card? As normal SIM cards wouldn't work for this.

Hi Emily, Yes this is a mobile Broadband Sim, it now works in the unlocked mobile hub after inputting the profile data manually, The USB stick is asking for a 8 digit code, I have filled in a request form for a code on virgin but not heard anything as yet.

yes, I have an unlock code they sent in a letter with the sim but it is 15 digits long not 8, i assume the 15 digits is for a phone.

thanks for the link, tried that and they said my iphone is already unlocked, they don't understand it's not for a phone so i got the code online in under a minute and it now works fine.
