New Sim not valid

Hi,

I am also having trouble with the new SIM. My 91 year old grandmother has an old Nokia phone and when the new SIM is inserted it comes up with an error message saying SIM not valid. Please can you advise ASAP as I do not want her to be without a phone. I am finding it impossible to get through to speak to anyone.

It’s does not ask for an unlock code it just says SIM is not valid.

No1 else has a virgin handset unfortunately. Plus none of us have a phone that is old enough to use the larger size SIM in. If I purchase the Nokia 105 (2019) will the SIM work in that phone? The phone needs to be as simple as possible and that is the closest match I can find.

That's no problem, can I please confirm if she got the handset from ourselves? Are you aware of the IMEI number of the handset?

I can’t remember whether the phone came directly from Virgin, it was too long ago.

Thanks for the information, we're unable to find anything on our systems with that IMEI number. 

 

If you have the account information we can pass security through private message and see if this is fully activated and try send another SIM card out to try fix this.
