New Sim not valid Nokia 100

My elderly parents have a Nokia pay as you go. Their phone looks similar to the 105 on the Virginmedia help page. I have tried searching for the phone by IMEI but it says the device is not supported. They have struggled with trying to get the new SIM card to work for three weeks or so now without success and have now asked for my help. I have tried the new SIM card myself, I have searched this forum for help and tried using suggested unblocking codes. Nothing seems to work. My parents are not good with modern technology and are certainly not looking to upgrade their phone, or commit to any contracts. They have been virginmedia pay as you go customers for many years and are happy to stay that way but what do we do about this change in service which seems to be about to block them from using their phone. I certainly don’t like the idea of either of them being out and about without access to their mobile phone.

Sorry to hear this has happened 

We do have a solution for handsets like this 

We can then order a replacement handset similar to the one they currently have 

The only downside is we are currently waiting on stock and have a back log of orders, so its looking like 10 days minimum to get then to your parents

I’ll see mum and dad again tomorrow and hopefully order a phone online while there. Do I just order through your website? Do you have a recommendation for any particular phone, it’s got to be as basic as possible and pay-as-you-go. They will want to keep their existing number so can the SIM card recently sent to them just be inserted into a new phone?

I hope I can get this sorted for them.

I have located the account details 

A new handset Nokia105 has been requested to be sent out 

Now we do have a delay in with stock and its looking like 10 working days 

I am sorry that iot will take this long
