I have an old nokia 6500 phone and since using a new SIM the only website i can access is google.

Errors - file format unknown

             secure connection unavailable

That phone came out in 2007 so is unlikely to support modern web protocols i.e. up to date security or HTML.

I can't immediately see how changing the SIM would affect how the web pages are delivered and the APN setting for Virgin Mobile remain the same across any SIM sent out.

Thank you for your post. 

Apologies for this as @BenMcr has advised the handset is an older version and I am not sure if the capabilities of that would be able to handle/run anything else, that's not to say it's 100% not possible. How long have you had this new SIM for and prior to this was it one of our SIM's you had?
