I was recently sent a new SIM after I lost my old phone. The new SIM does not work in my new phone. Can you help?

Hi Travis,
My iPhone 8 recognises the SIM when you turn the phone on, as it requests a SIM PIN which can I enter successfully, but then it says "No service".

Is the handset locked to a provider by any chance? Or did you purchase this straight from the manufacturer?
