New SIM card does not work in unlocked phones

Hi,

I have a brand new sim card. I tried it in a Nokia 8 unlocked. It just wouldn't work at all. I have now put it in a Samsung. It asked for the pin number. I put in 7890 3 times and it has now locked. I have used the "personal unblocking key" which is 8 digits long and that does not work either.

When I try to register for a Virgin mobile account (the sim card came with my Virgin media package) it asks me what the answer to my question was - which obviously doesn't exist on account of me not creating one. In fact, the question is blank.

My experience so far has been beyond farcical. Please can someone help me? I really don't fancy spending hours on hold.

Try posting on Virgin's thread 'New SIM Issues' above. It may icrease your chances of getting a Virgin Team member to deal with your issue individually.
