New SIM - No Service

Hi,

I received a new SIM yesterday and I've had it in my phone for 24 hours or so. It hasn't connected to the network, saying "No Service". I have reset the phone countless times.

I need help as my phone is basically out of action and I need it for work.

Have you got another phone.  If yes, I would recommend trying the SIM in that.

I'm sure it is more likely that VM have not activated SIM yet. 

But at least if you have tried SIM in a couple of phones, you can defo say to VM "it is the SIM at fault, not the phone, as I have tried in 2 different phones". when VM get back to you.

Hi Metaled,

Thanks for getting back to me. The SIM has been activated it just turned out that the masts in my area are degragated and need fixing, which VM have not given a timeframe on when it will be done. So basically I’m waiting indefinitely, which I’m not prepared to do while paying money for my contract. So I’m leaving VM, sadly.
