New SIM Card

My new SIM card arrived and have put it into my iphone.  However, my contact numbers look very different ie instead of 0141 222 5555 - it looks like 01 41 22 255 55?  It also does not give me caller ID when someone calls me but does log them on the recent tab? Anyone help me please?

I guess it's an iPhone.

Try this

Select Settings from the Home Screen
Select Phone Icon
Select SIM Applications
Select Roaming
Select Select mode
Select National

 and you are done, go back Home screen to retry

I believe SIM applications is under connections on some versions of iOS

Someone said its position has shifted. It is around. Try the connections menu.

Hi Perryjiz,

your sim applications are found under Settings > Mobile Data > Sim applications

please follow the steps @enlli has provided to see if this resolves the issue

Thanks for your reply, we tried this but could only get as far as manual or automatic and couldnt get any further.  The phone is set at automatic and when you pick manual, there arent any other options?

Okay thank you for trying.

 

Can you please run a manual network search on the handset?

 

  • Press Settings.
  • Press Mobile Data.
  • Press Mobile Network.
  • To select network manually, press the indicator next to "Automatic" until the function is deactivated.
  • Press the required network.
  • To select network automatically, press the indicator next to "Automatic" until the function is activated.

It sounds like the transfer of your contacts hasn't formatted correctly - this can depend on how you did the transfer. 

 

Can you try manually re-adding a contact and see if that formats things correctly please?
