New SIM Card message telling me I requested to change number

Hi, I texted to 789225 SWITCH as instructed and the message has come back saying "we've received your request to switch your number". I don't want to change number, I just need to activiate the new SIM and keep the number the same.

It won't change your number. Virgin texts are often badly worded
