NEW SIM CARD - WRONG PHONE NUMBER

My package was recently changed to a 5GB so I was told I needed a new SIM Card.  I received this but it has given me a new phone number.  As I am not leaving Virgin to join someone else  PAC Code won't work.  Does anyone know how I can keep my old number?

I have tried to phone the help line but either can't get through or get cut off when I do!

No one seems to be answering the message boards.

I have never had a problem with my package, which is why I opted to stay with Virgin but now I do have one and have realised how difficult it is to resolve a problem doubt I'll be staying with them when my contract is up for renewal!
