Mobile sim as backup to broadband service.

Hi,

I am being sent a 4/5g sim as a backup to the internet if virgin cable goes down. What do you put it in? An old mobile phone and tether, a MiFi device or a 4G router?

Cheers.

Choice is yours but a 4G router seem a bit expensive for occasional temporary use.

Hi @Fozzie55,

Thank you for your post and welcome back to our community forums. We're here to help.

As per our Acceptable Use Policy, your mobile SIM card is for use in a personal mobile or mobile broadband device, such as a dongle or mobile Wi-Fi device. It is not intended for use in any other type of device, including 4G routers.

Thanks,
