Mobile signal problem

Been on the EE site. Says I should be getting full signal where I am at home.

Other household member is on EE. Full signal.

I am getting what you see below. Help! It used to be fine until recently.

Re: Mobile signal problem

Perhaps your Virgin SIM is using the Vodafone network and your comparing it to a EE sim

Re: Mobile signal problem

How do I know?  Also any solution as previously I had no signal issues. May I need a new sim?

Re: Mobile signal problem

Dosen't help the OP but I had similar issues on 4G and that's  what I originally thought but I ran cell info on 2 phones with both EE and VM sims, (both sims in each phone) and the Virgin sims were connecting to the same  EE tower, but just with lower signal strength. Same phones remember, so not hardware related at all.

That added to dropped incoming calls and constant distortion that basically sounded like low bit rate, I gave up and have switched back to EE. Plus I got WiFi calling back 🙂

Things might be better with a 5G phone, I didn't  have access to one at the time.

Re: Mobile signal problem

Do a manual network search if Vodafone is listed you are on EE. The reverse is true if EE is listed you are on Vodafone

Re: Mobile signal problem

It shows both but when I select Vodafone it says I cannot connect to the network but when I select EE it connect yet the signal problems remain.  Help!

Re: Mobile signal problem

Good evening @Dazzabee

Welcome to the forums and thank you for taking the time to post.

I am sorry to hear that you have had some issues with your mobile service.

Are you able to confirm a local shop post code, this way we can check the masts in the area.

Kind regards,

Zak_M

Re: Mobile signal problem

I live in the EN4 postal code area - Barnet, North London.

There is not a shop close to me.
