Mobile number not ported

I've switched from EE to Virgin and requested my number to be ported.

Received a text this morning saying my switch was "all done" but it my old number doesn't seem to have been ported. When I look on my account it says my old number has successfully ported.  The number hasn't been ported though and no-one is able to text or call me on my old (supposedly ported number). I've switched on and off, taken sim out, and generally faffed about in the settings but to no avail. I called and asked about this and was told "it takes time to sync". To be honest I'm a bit sceptical about the validity of this answer as the sim I ordered last week for my son (from giffgaff) took 2 mins to sort (and port).

Anyone any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for posting on our community forum and sorry to hear about the issue with your port.

 

It can take up to 24 hours after the port sometimes for everything to settle in whilst data is still being ported over / the order is completing. Please do keep us updated how you get on but I believe you should see this resolved.
