Have just taken out a new contract with talk talk keeping the same  number, do I need to contact virgin mobile to do anything or will the contract with them just stop.

Welcome back to the community forums. 

Sorry to hear you've left us and moved to another mobile provider. Have you requested your PAC code so you can keep the same mobile number?

Yes she requested the pac code thanks

Once the PAC code has been requested and they have given this to their new provider. The SIM at our side will shut down automatically, so there is nothing further you would need to do.
