Leaving Virgin Mobile

I have tried to cancel my Virgin Mobile account for a couple of months now but Virgin do not accept calls and direct you towards an Internet page. I need to call them because if I simply switch accounts, they will try and charge me for ending my contract early despite me previously agreeing this with them that I should not be charged due to continuous poor service.

They have no useful pages online and are actively avoiding calls. Not sure where else to turn.
