What can do to enable calls & texts once I’m in Turkey.

I am very sorry to hear you are having problems using your mobile service whilst in Turkey.
Can you please confirm if you activated roaming prior to leaving the UK?
Did you receive a text message from us when you arrived?

I did get a text when I arrived in Turkey but I didn’t activate anything before I left home.

Check that roaming is turned on and International Call barring is off via your account.
Also check you have not got a low spend cap as calls and text are chargeable
