Inserted SIM sent by Virgin but receiving texts saying I haven't

 Received a replacementSIM from Virgin and inserted it into my mobile as requested.  Now receiving texts informing me I haven't inserted it and that all calls and texts will be stopped in 10 days.  Can anyone advise?

Seems a few of these about. System not caught up with itself. Not happened to anyone who has swapped.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.  I've just received an email giving the same warning as in the texts of cessation of mobile service.   I suppose time will tell.
