Incorrect Charge

Last night I changed the sim card on my wife's phone and then sent a text message to a few people saying what the new number was. Looking at my account this morning the messages have been charged as picture messages. Why would I send a picture message to announce a new phone number ( no emoticons either).

Long story short, after talking to billing this morning their final answer was "I really understand where you are coming from but out systems are only able to collect information from the sim card registered to your number and the are ALWAYS CORRECT AND VALID (my capitals). No attempt at apology or negotiation. We are aways right - go away.

Quite plainly they not always correct or I would not be spending my time texting billing or typing this.

Re: Incorrect Charge

If you sent those texts as a Group Message, that could have converted them to MMS's (picture messages).

In Google Messages app, there are options to send Group Messages as MMS or SMS
