just had a mobile number call me and on answering it I was told I’d been charged £399.00 on my phone bill. Anyone out there had the same?

Sounds like a scam call. Check your usage online. Also if you have a spend cap set it can't happen.
I never answer unknown numbers but divert them to voicemail. If people genuinely want to get hold of me they will leave a message. I get 3 or 4 scam calls a week.

I'd agree with enlli, as this does sound like a scam call. However if you are still concerned, just let us know and we'll be happy to check your bills for you via PM. You can also check them from your My Virgin Mobile account online.
