I need help with a pay as you go which has been cut off without warning...

I need to contact virgin for a number which has been cut off. Apparently I was warned that they would cut it off but I never received the message. It's a number I've had for many many years and it's really important that I have it reconnected.

The warning is supposed to have come last month and it has already been cut off. I've had someone who refuses to help on the phone and who is incapable of putting me through to anyone else who will help. He put the phone down on me...

I've had the account with Virgin Media for probably about 20 years and I find this treatment disgusting to say the least. The number itself is precious because it's the number that many of my friends and relatives use to contact me on...
