I'm also sorry that you've encountered this problem. Unfortunately I'm not sure if it's something we can help with from here though there's no settings I'm aware of that would have an impact on Google's Safesearch feature.
We have our own web-safe features which can be enabled/disabled via your online account (virg.in/myVM) so you could try disabling those (if they're not disabled already) and that may help. Otherwise I'd recommend contacting Google directly about the issue.
