My dad was sent a new sim for network upgrades or something, and my mum and myself got them as well.
Our sim cards work, but my dad's says invalid sim.
He got the phone in 2004 and it still works fine.
It's been so difficult to try to get a replacement sim for him.
It's so long ago that none of us know the password that Virgin keep asking for.
I cannot see any way to get him a replacement sim.
Virgin say they need access to his account before they can send a new sim, but the invalid sim was sent without any contact from us. He'll keep using his old sim until Virgin switch it off, but I really don't want him to be without a phone at his age.
Just can't seem to request a sim to replace the invalid one that Virgin sent to him.
2 out of our 3 phones work with the new sim, but my dad's one appears to be invalid.
His current sim still works, on Virgin as well.
Considering that the 2 other new sims received from Virgin just worked straight away, my dad's sim does not, and is being indicated as invalid, then I think we just unlucky with this one.
I'm sure it used to be easy getting a replacement sim, but there seem to be so many barriers in place now, the reset password / account recovery pages don't work, and to top it all, the virgin mobile website now seems to be offline.
I have the letter that the new sim was attached to, and it has an order number on it.
The sim is not asking for an unlock code.
Not sure what's wrong with it, other than it's just a faulty sim.
