Freestyle upgrade offer a joke

I have been on my freestyle contract for 28 months out of the 36 I signed up for and thought as I only have £200 left on it I would try and trade in my old phone to lower the amount owing. I have an Oppo Find X2 Pro, which was worth £850 new when I got it, I was hoping to upgrade to an iphone 14 Pro so would be a considerable extra amount per month.

I spoke to someone on the online chat and after they had asked me a few questions about the state of my phone, told me my offer would be £27 to trade in.

Now I know they aren't as popular as iphones or Samsungs, but the Oppo was a flagship phone 2 years ago and is apperently only now worth £27.

you would be better selling it to CEX and using the money to pay off you existing contract

As posted above by another member of the community, you can also recycle with another site that could offer a different price.

The phone is in perfect condition but all I was asked is does it turn on and work. I find it incredible the difference between what Virgin are offering compared to other places.
