Hello TonyM
Thanks for posting on the forums in regards to the mobile network migration to O2.
As part of our joint venture all of our mobile customers have been moved to O2 for their mobile services, there is no exception to this. We're sorry to hear the network at your current location isn't as strong as the network via EE at present. VMO2 are always working to improve the services and experience our customers receive across both mobile and media services and this will continue to be the case.
We have help here for mobile issues and you can check the O2 coverage here via your post code and this will also show your proximity to the masts in your area.

@TonyM I see you have a good broadband connection, have you not considered turning on WiFi Calling which will cure the problem of your missed calls at home?

Hi @TonyM,
Thank you for coming back to us. Have you taken a look at the O2 Coverage Checker to look into this further for you?
You can view if 5G is available in your local area and look which areas are not covered. We're always looking to improve our services and will be expanding 5G coverage areas as soon as we can.
Are you able to use 4G okay with no issues? Let us know so that we can help if needed.
Thank you.

With O2 switching down to 3G often works when out.

As I currently also have an O2 contract as well as my free VIP Virgin sim with a phone I know what actual signal strengths that I have! and not a theoretical coverage which is dependent also upon Topography!

We are not able to access O2 accounts but if you have an O2 SIM that is experiencing issues then you can call O2 who will be happy to assist further.
Thank you.

As you have an O2 SIM I suggest you download their My Network App and use it to report Network problems and coverage. The more people who report the more likely something will be done
Have you complained to O2 direct? Little the staff on here can do and as all contracts move to O2 directly in the next 9 months, O2 is your best bet.

I'm not sure what the lack of 5G has to do with anything? 4G is perfectly capable of fast speeds even if, yes, 5G can do quicker.
O2's 4G & 5G coverage footprints are one of the smallest of the major networks.
