Finding old account

Hi

Four years ago I was talked into taking a £5 sim as my home phone charged for calls in peak times. I never used it and cancelled direct debit after three months. I have just found out that I have 4 years of payment default on my credit history. I have tried unsuccessfully to get my details (phone number) from Virgin but they say I don't have an outstanding account. Every month my credit limit is falling. Any ideas?

Re: Finding old account

I can understand the 4 years of payment default as you did not terminate the contract but simply stopped the DD.

Maybe, your bank will have details of the past Direct Debit which may have reference numbers which could prove useful. I am suprised you have not been notified and not had a letter from Debt

Virgin may have written off the account. Hence 789 not finding any record.
