tried all codes suggested but not able to extend ring time to 30 seconds. Tried calling Virgin but gave up after 45 minutes. Any suggestions please.

Sorry that you're having trouble extending the rings on your landline and for the delay in responding.
I have tried to locate your account to see if this has since been resolved but I'm afraid I've been unable to do so.
Can I ask if you've since managed to extend the rings? If not then pop back and we can have a look via a private message.
i mentioned that i want to extend ring time on galaxy S9 and J6. They are mobile phones, not land lines. I don't have a landline with Virgin but two mobiles are with virgin.

I'm afraid it isn't something we can do for you and it would be down to the phone settings / manufacture. Have you tried their support or forums directly?
Just a check you have opened your phones dialler and entered/rung
You can check time set afterwards by dialling

Have been in touch with Samsung (manufacturer) who tell me to contact the Net work provider: Virgin. Going round in circles!

It is on Virgin's side to change setting, not sure if it is something one of the Forum Team here can do manually for you or not on your account 🤞
