Existing Customer no incentive to stay in contract

Hi,

I've been on Gig1 fibre for about 17 months now, and my contract is up for renewal next month.

I rang through and was told I'd have to keep paying the standard price (£62.00) per month.

I asked how much it would cost If I chose not to renew my contract with Virgin and continued paying anyway. Again it would be £62.00. I'm wondering why Virgin doesn't incentivise people to renew contracts.

Why can new customers get the same deal I'm on for £28.00 per month. Frustrating.

thanks,

Re: Existing Customer no incentive to stay in contract

Hello Ciaronsmethurst,

Thanks for asking the question on here.

When you first went onto 1Gb you would have had an introductory offer like new customers

It may not have been the same as what you saw online.

These offers only last for a set amount of time then the new customers prices go up the same as yours.

Re: Existing Customer no incentive to stay in contract

Hi Gareth,

thanks for the reply.

When I first signed up for Gig1 the price was £62.00.

There were no discounts applied and no incentive to continue services with Virgin.

Seems counterintuitive.

thanks,
