Energizer Energy E12

Hello,

My mother has been using a Nokia 1112 on Virgin pay as you go for many years. She received a new Sim card and it doesn't work with her phone, SIm Not Valid. I bought her an Energy E12 to replace the Nokia but it is not suitable for her. She is hard of hearing and the Energy has a very low volume for calls and ring tones etc, and there is no volume control on the phone. I have changed the Profile to Outdoor but she is not going to be able to use the phone.

How do I go about returning the Energy E12,  received yesterday- 12 August?

Also can someone recommend to suitable "simple" phone for text and calls for my Mother.

Doro phones are designed for older people. They do smartphones and traditional clamshell

Thanks Enlli,

Do you know if these Dobro phones are available from Virgin? I don't see them on their website. Also, Mum is on pay as you go.

I don't think they are 

Its difficult to say in specific cases but we did have someone get the flip on offer at Argos. They seem to have a selection

Ringtone:

To add, you'll need SD card.

I've sent a ringtone via Bluetooth from another phone and set it as a ringtone.

I've used a very loud song from the SD card.

You could record your own loud message

Hi. Have the same problem. Virgin launched this 'better' SIM card in July and when installed it read SIM not valid so I spent the first call of 45mins to get a new SIM. Same happened again so I put my old SIM back and now that was invalid, lost everything. On my third 45 min call the advisor said she will send me a new device and within days this dreadful phone arrived. No proper instructions. Just 2gb and batter runs flat every 2 days so going back to good old basic Nokia

My up/down button only controls camera no volume control anywhere
