Dialled an incorrect number

Hi,  I've been with Virgin for a while now and just recently, when I ring my partners number,  receive a message saying I've dialled an incorrect number.  I've been able to phone him before on this phone and contract,  and have filed some of the instructions in other similar posts but none have helped.  Can anyone help please?

His number is set up to divert to a dead number?
