Default on account when balance shows £0

So i had a virgin media account that was opened in March 2018 and closed the following year. I look on my credit file to see that there is a default of £52 on this account.  I chatted to VM on live chat and explained the situation, she looked into this and told me that there was no outstanding balance on my account.  She directed me to creditamendments@virginmedia.co.uk to sort out this problem.  I have emailed several times with no correspondence from them.

Hi @Debz10,

Thank you for your post and a warm welcome to our Community Forums.

I'm really sorry to hear you've had some trouble resolving a default on your Credit File. It can take our Credit File Amendments Team up to 14 working days to correct any errors on the account and then an additional 30-60 days for Credit Reference Agencies to update their records.

So I can assist you further, I'm going to send you a private message. Please look out for it in the top-right, in the purple envelope.

Cheers,

Reece - Forum Team
