In Italy and cannot get data roaming to switch on. Keeps getting "sorry there's an issue. Please retry" but to no avail.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with roaming while in Italy. Typically we would advise the following steps here https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-roaming-hub However in this case, I have sent you a private message. Please keep an eye out for an envelope at the top right corner of your Forum page. Let me know if you have any issues locating this.

Are you getting anything at all? Italy has no 3G and unless you have 4G Calling some networks refuse to connect you. Try a manual search and try different networks in turn
