Credit declined

  • I have been with virgin since 2001 so 19 yrs I have 2 phones an also virgin tv yet i failed a credit check for upgrade unbelievable I'm absolutely disgusted as my bill has always been paid and tonight the way i was spoken to by the team was very rude ..so once contracts are up i will be leaving..I've always been happy with virgin but will now tell people to stay clear . Very disappointed

You are not alone. Whoever is behind Virgin's credit underwriters seem to have their own set of crazy rules.

Seem to take days to do a credit check but Vodafone did one on me recently and got the answer in seconds. Someone in retail said that it is normal to get a decision within a minute.

Oh, and you may find they have been nowhere near your credit file whatever they say.
