Credit Check for iPad

Hello, 

On Friday, I tried to order my husband an iPad and airpods bundle for his Christmas. I was told further checks were needed to complete the purchase - which was fine. However, I can see on my credit file that Virgin has in fact done a credit check but I STILL haven't heard anything regarding whether I can complete my purchase. 

Is anyone else in a similar situation? Or have you been and were you able to continue? How long did your reply take?
