I've just signed up to virgin mobile because it uses Vodafone now and is more competetively priced.

I was previously on smarty which gave a consistent 4g signal with good speeds up and down.

However, since switching to virgin mobile my phone keeps dropping to 3g when the 4g signal is too weak. That's fair enough but the only way I can get it to pick up 4g again is by toggling airplane mode off/on which usually gives a strong 4g connection again. It never automatically picks up 4g again despite the settings in my phone being on prefer LTE.

Any ideas?

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, sorry to hear your phone keeps dropping the 4g connection, which handset do you have, does this also happen if you change the setting to Auto connect?
