On 20 Jan 21 I made a call to nhs pension service on 0345 1212522 which I presumed to be free. Today I received my bill which came to£20.14.My normal charge excluding is £7.00. There was a charge of£13.14for a call to a 08451212522 number which was not the number I dialled. I have wasted my time trying to obtain an answer to my problem by speaking to Asian operators who tell me that a0345 number is a service call and that the system cannot make mistakes by substituting 0845 for the 0345 that I dialled and spoke to NHS pensions about my late wife's death on that day.
Could someone please clarify the situation and rectify the situation?
Is a call to a 0345 number included in my call allowance and if so can staff be made aware of this.?
Please look at my bill.
Regards, Disgruntled Customer.
