Charged in spite of cancelled contract

Hi,

I recently cancelled my contract within the 14 days cooling off period (called the helpline, waited almost an hour for assistance and was assured it was all going to be taken care of).

I was supposed to only be charged for the data I used but instead was charged full monthly amount and my account still says the contract is valid until August 2021... It's not a huge amount so frankly I don't care about the money but how do I make sure the contract is really cancelled? I haven't received any written confirmation...
