Cancelling a pay monthly account

Hi, I am trying to telephone someone from abroad to cancel a pay monthly account without success. I moved to France and thought it was already cancelled. The account hasn't been used for 2 years but I am still being charged. Please advise how I can best contact someone.

Thank you for confirming. Have you tried calling and speaking with the team about this on +44 7953 967 967 yet? That's the number to reach the Virgin Mobile team when outside of the UK.

Hi, no I'm afraid not. I just want a straightforward cancellation. I have moved abroad, I don't need the number, I'm not switching providers, I don't have a credit agreement for the handset. Like I said, I took steps to cancel it over a year ago and it's just very tiresome, a lot of energy used just trying to speak to someone about it.

Unfortunately a cancellation of a contract isn't something that we can do via the community forums, which is why I'm trying to direct you to the correct team.
 

What happens exactly when you call +44 7953 967 967? Are you dialling it from a UK SIM card?

Hi, I appreciate that, i'm dialling from a french landline, it doesn't even connect and ring, just comes back as number not available.

Hi @MicahelAsh,

It's possible that your French landline cannot connect to international numbers, which would include the contact number provided and would explain why it drops? I've just tested the number myself and it appears to be working fine for me.

Is there any other phone you can try to call it from?
