Can't make calls or send texts after porting number

So I recently got a new phone on contract with virgin media, ported my number from previous carrier and I can't send texts or make calls. I get the error 0. I've tried everything like factory reset, network settings reset etc. I can receive calls and texts and my data works perfectly. Any help greatly appreciated because I'm lost.

Good afternoon @Reillyd833

Welcome to the forums and thank you for taking the time to post.

I am sorry to hear that you have had some issues with your mobile.

When did you port the number over to us?

Kind regards,

Zak_M

Thanks for replying so quickly I really appreciate it.

So I ported it yesterday around 5p.m, the site said it could take up to two hours so I've been waiting but my old sim lost signal within a half hour and I've been able to receive calls and texts on the new sim since then. I just can't make any.

Thank you for coming back to me.

Whilst the minimum time is 2 hours, we do suggest it can take up to 24 hours to be completely ported.

Kind regards

Zak_M

Ok I was hoping it might be that and it will just sort itself. Fingers crossed. Thanks very much, if its not fixed after 24 can I just reply to your last??

Thanks for responding to my PM @Reillyd833

I'm afraid we only deal with Virgin Media UK here via the forums so are unable to assist with this.

For VM Ireland contact details see here
